After the passing of two long-term and dedicated Alumni Board Members, the Honorable Sandra A. Forster ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����79 and Adele Lerman Janow ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����90, the Alumni Board decided to establish an Immediate Impact Scholarship to commemorate the lives of these esteemed alumnae, The Adele Janow and Judge Sandra Forster Memorial Scholarship.

From a cattle farm in Illinois to a law office in Manhattan, Cari Rincker ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����07 has built a career at the intersection of agriculture, law, and advocacy. Founder of Rincker Law PLLC, a firm focused on food, agriculture, and family law, Cari has forged her own path as a lawyer, educator, author, and podcast host��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����all while staying rooted in her rural beginnings and passionate about helping others navigate complex legal landscapes.

Throughout his legal journey, Paul Humphreys ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����09, has consistently exemplified the values of leadership, service, and mentorship. Currently a partner and office managing partner in the New York office of Freshfields US LLP, Paul has built a remarkable career focused on US and cross-border public and private M&A. Today, Paul attributes much of his professional success to the education he received at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ���� and in turn, takes every opportunity he can to support his alma mater.

Growing up, Samuel Carvalho ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����25 LLM dreamed of being a diplomat, an ambition that led him to pursue a law degree at the Universidade Federal do Ceará in Fortaleza, Brazil. However, during his time pursuing an LLB, he had the opportunity to work alongside environmental organizations serving under-resourced communities. This experience was the beginning of a new passion for Samuel.

The youngest of seven, Kyle Davis-Edwards ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����25 grew up in a loving, humble household where his parents held him to high expectations. ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����My parents enrolled me in a private high school with the expectation that I excel in the school��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����s top tier sports and academic programs,��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ����� shared Kyle. ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����While my parents were strict, it was their guidance that cultivated me into the disciplined and driven person I am today.��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����

Susan Cacace ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����89 began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney of Westchester County after graduating from what was then known as Pace Law School. In 2005, she began her nearly 20 years of service as a Westchester County Court Judge. A dedicated public servant, after spending 30 years as a prosecutor, defense attorney, and judge, she decided it was time to pursue a lifetime dream of serving Westchester County as the District Attorney. Now, after winning the election and taking office earlier this year, Westchester County DA Susan Cacace has an ambitious list of priorities to ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����bring Westchester to a better place.��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����

Sav Ackerman ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����25 has always had a strong work ethic. Born into an abusive and impoverished upbringing, both of Sav��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����s parents passed away by the time Sav was 15 years old. ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����There were many hard days growing up,��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ����� shared Sav. ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����Prior to passing away, my mother was a single parent and worked full-time while going to school for nursing. I started working to support myself from the time I was 15 and continued to work throughout law school.��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����

When Joseph Churgin graduated from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ���� in 1993, he never could have imagined that 32 years later, two of his children would not only be studying law but attending the same law school. ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����I felt incredibly proud that both Hunter and Emma wanted to attend law school where I got my start,��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ����� shared Joseph. ��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����It was the perfect fit for me, and I hoped that it would be for both of my children as well.��Ů�ٱ���Ƶ�����
