The Pace Energy and Climate Center (ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þœPECC") is thrilled to announce the 2025ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ“2026 Executive Board, which is comprised of three exceptional Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ students committed to advancing PECCÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s mission and outreach.
In speaking at ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s inaugural Actionable AI Conference in Pleasantville on Friday, Charles Elliot, head of industry at , advised attendees that when using AI tools, they should lean into learning, focus on the end-user, and be curious about the application of evolving technologies.
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ is proud to announce two winners of the 2025 Goettel Prize for Faculty Scholarship. University Distinguished Professor of Law Bridget J. Crawford received the award for her article , in the Minnesota Law Review (109 Minn. L. Rev. 737 (2024)) and Associate Professor of Law Josh Galperin received the award for his article , in the Wisconsin Law Review (2025 Wis. L. Rev. 89 (2025)).
Graduate students from ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program, part of the College of Health Professions, will partner with the starting this Saturday, September 20, for a featured event in the annual Taste of the Market series.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ partnered with the Westchester County Association (WCA) to host its Profit & Purpose Sustainable Business Conference, a premier forum designed to advance a more climate centric and sustainable future in Westchester and beyond. This yearÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s conference also debuted the inaugural Profit & Purpose Actionable Solutions Competition, spotlighting student-driven solutions to real-world sustainability challenges. Held Friday, September 12, 2025 on the Pace Haub Law campus, the conference drew more than 100 changemakers and leaders from business, government, nonprofits, and academia to explore practical strategies for sustainable impact.
On September 11, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s Sustainable Business Law Hub held the third annual private environmental governance and sustainable business law scholarly workshop. The half-day lightning workshop, co-sponsored by Vanderbilt Law SchoolÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s Private Climate Governance Lab, included an impressive gathering of environmentally focused scholars who spent the day workshopping new scholarship. Josh Galperin, Associate Professor of Law and Faculty Director of Pace Haub LawÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s Sustainable Business Law Hub organized this yearÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s workshop.
ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ has announced the reappointment of Horace E. Anderson Jr. as dean of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law with his next term commencing in January 2026. Dean Anderson, who was first named to the role in December 2019 after serving as interim dean, has been selected to lead the law school for another term. His continued leadership reflects the UniversityÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ™s commitment to academic excellence, innovation in legal education, and expanding access to justice.
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ is proud to announce that five renowned environmental scholars and practitioners will join the Law School as Haub Visiting Scholars. These distinguished scholars ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ“ Sam Bookman, Monika Ehrman, Marianne Engelman-Lado, Douglas Kysar, and Jim Salzman ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ“ will bring their expertise to Pace through guest lectures, faculty collaboration, and working with students in the Environmental Law Program and beyond.
This fall, ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ Art Gallery will present Equilibrium, a solo exhibition by interdisciplinary artist . Featuring living sculpture, photography, and performance, the exhibition explores themes of ecological transformation, resource equity, and climate adaptation. The exhibition opens with a free public reception on Friday, September 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
On September 5, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ hosted the twelfth annual Future Environmental Law Professors Workshop. The workshop is designed for law students and graduates considering or planning careers as legal academics in environmental law broadly defined. The workshop included an informational panel, mock interviews, and practice job talks. In addition, this year Professor Rachel Rothschild, recipient of the 2025 Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award, delivered the keynote lunch address.
